Buffalo Renaissance Foundation

Letter from the President

The success of the Buffalo Renaissance Foundation is due to our rich history set forth by our past presidents and Directors.  The growth of the Foundation is a direct result of the teamwork and leadership of those directors who have guided our group through the past three decades. Together we move Forward within the community to contribute to the renaissance in which Buffalo and Western New York are currently experiencing.

Each year we continue to evaluate and find fresh new ideas to support our community.  In the beginning, our appropriations committee offered grants to those within our community in need of dollars to help accomplish their goals.  As our giving program undergoes a transformation, we are currently preparing for a Signature Project that will be substantial in breadth and community reach. The Signature Project will transpire from our need to move the needle even further Forward and make a greater impact within the community that will be not only be impactful, but also sustainable.

Our core events, the annual luncheons and golf tournament, are growing, not only in attendance, but also in recognition.  Our annual luncheon where we present the “Renaissance Award” has honored some of the most influential business leaders in Western New York.  Those same leaders are directly responsible for the current renaissance in our city.  Our annual golf classic, recognized as the second longest running golf event in Buffalo, continues to help generate the monies needed for us to provide funding to those charitable organizations in need. The Veterans’ Luncheon has seen tremendous growth as well, offering scholarships to those men and woman who have protected our country and are now ready to continue their education.

I am honored to lead the Buffalo Renaissance Foundation for the next two years as our next president. Please join me and the BRF in helping to move Buffalo Forward into the Renaissance era.
