The Eighth Annual Veteran’s Scholarship Luncheon was considered an overwhelming success on Friday. A record attendance of over 120 people were educated on what will be an historical November 2016 when the commissioning of the new USS Little Rock will take place in Buffalo at Canalside. Guests were treated to a presentation by the ships Commander and Western New York native, Paul Burkhart.

The purpose of the annual luncheon during Veterans’ Day week, is to recognize Veterans, Active Duty and Reservists that help to protect our country. In addition to honoring Veterans and those currently serving in the Military, the luncheon is held to raise the needed funds in order to provide scholarships to those who have served our country and are attending college.
